Wheelchair Facilities At Spotlight & Foxy Lady

Hi, new to chiang mai, was just out last night for a few quiet beers and watching a bit of telly in spotlight and am amazed in this day and age there are no wheelchair facilities. At least there should be a lift so i can get upto the stage. After the programme finished on the telly thought i would try another establishment balled foxy lady and it was even worst. Basically does anyone know a nice place in town that caters for this problem.

Thanks

You will not find too many special wheelchair facilities except at all the supermarkets. You will find that people are willing to helpo and it is not rare for four people to carry you and your wheelchair up two floors of stairs so you can get in.

why would you want to get up on stage at Foxy lady?

Why ???? to lock and loll of course....

:D

Kn Ironsides...... for a different type of entertainment, check out the revue at ' THE PLAYHOUSE . There you will find an example of the helpfulness that Kn Harry mentioned.

... and as an aside, a really good stage show......

This is not actually true if you consider a ramp to be a self assisted construction as in the west. Many hotels do have ramps at the front door but this will generally be a 45 DEGREE construction to haul suitcases up. They will assist you but they are generally unuited to power wheelchairs or to independent use. May places have small steps mayby only one to enter facilities or get to the counter..not navigatable independently. Accessibility in Thailand has a long way to go but people are much more willing to assist you than n the west.
