Culture Course 4 Visa Extention

My friend has just been to the Kanchanaburi immigration with his new work permit to get his imm B extended for work at his school.. they told him he cannot cos he doesnt have a Thai culture course certificate.

Anyone else heard of this or not..? His boss "mentioned it in passing" a few weeks before and then said nothing else....

Recon its true or just a scam to make money...?

I believe that is a requirement for teachers but not sure of details.

Many immigration offices now require that you have a teachers license when working for a school. Your school can get a temporary waiver for the teachers license by writing a letter to the teachers council.
