and a new one is available for just 100k more, still Phuket is heavily overpriced compared to BKK

Yes the Nissen March is 535000 and the Proton is even cheaper for the basic model, I have just ordered the Honda Jazz it was more than I wanted to spend but I was thinking about re-sale value.

Keep the faith. Although the used car prices here are insane, with persistence you can find something. I bought an old, old, 1894 Volvo for about 100,000Baht three years ago. This car runs like new and is maintained impeccably. Not a ding or scratch in it. Have driven it from Phuket to Chiang Mai five or six times, twice to Tachilak, twice to Nong Khai and never had a problem. Keep looking the deals are around. I spent about 1,000B monthly average on maintaining it.

Yes bunta, an 1894 vehicle is very old, in fact 116 years old!! You were over charged...

Sorry, couldn't resist ;)

Theres cars at that price but it needs work.. Seen a few Audi 100 late models which were clean.. Saw a S80 volvo in blue with cream leather that despite being a few years old looked really clean and solid asking 230 the other day.

Takes work, and you might need to be prepared to scour online listings or even go to other parts of Thailand to buy one. I tend to agree the under 200k pickings on Phuket get slim.
