Sibling To Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi to everyone,

I want my sister, who's alone back home and divorced, to join me here in Thailand. I'm working in Thailand for 2 years and have a valid work permit for the same period. I'm paying taxes etc on time and I've never been outta job since I arrived here.

Can anyone tell me how can my sister join me here? Our parents passed away long ago and recently my sister had problem with her husband which resulted in divorce. She's all alone there and nobody around her.

I'll appreciate your help.

Jon.

You didn't say where there was so we can only crystal ball it. Do not believe you have any power from your employment here to effect visa status for other than a spouse so she would have several options:

a) if over 50 retirement long stay with 800k in bank account.

:o investment of 3 million baht long stay.

c) non immigrant O multi entry if country conditions are met - UK I believe requires someone sign in home country to pay return so that may not be an option if she all alone. This can cover up to 15 months.

d) tourist visas for 60 days each extended for another 30. She might be able to get a triple to cover up to 9 months.

e) 30 day entry (will probably require return ticket) and monthly border runs.

f) combine d & e.
