The locals are fed up with the annoying tourists.
You're right, I don't like the Liverpool team so I deserve to have a Thai curse at me. Wonder who taught them to speak like that, certainly wasn't a Yank. -

UK Aid Budget Strained as Asylum Hotel Costs Surge Amidst Overseas Cuts
What took a while? Agree with what? Where have I stated or suggested that there are no illegal immigrants arriving either in mainland Europe or the UK? Maybe you should make sure that you are addressing your replies to the correct poster before hitting the 'Send' button in future. -

Almost can't stand all that Trump winning on his B Day.
"This was also an important weekend for our country because peaceful protests and peaceful gatherings will bring the country together and initiate change. As a kid back in the late ‘60s and ‘70s it felt like we were always making the 4-hour trek to DC to protest the Vietnam War. Was it worth it? Hell yes! We changed history and laid the foundation of all that was good in America for decades to come. My favorite quote of the weekend was at one of the gatherings. It was “The young people who are gathered, I’d like to say that you are the promise of hope for so many of us. The world looks to you.” That quote was delivered by Pope Leo via video to a huge audience at a packed baseball stadium in Chicago. Unfortunately though, the current leader of the free world is incapable of such a message and instead looked miserable because nobody showed up at his birthday charade. Trump continues to be a global embarrassment and seems to be unable to read the room. Use this as a learning experience Mr. President. “You catch more bees with honey than vinegar.”" The Soz. -

Home Insurance
Until the floods of 2011 it was possible to insure a dwelling in Thailand for the full sum insured for the peril of flood. As a result of the flood claims in 2011, insurers introduced both sub-limits for the peril of flood as well as a premium surcharge. Typical sub-limits were ten percent or less of the total sum insured for the property. A couple of years ago the insurer covering our house dropped the surcharge, but retained the sub-limit. These changes were driven mostly by the cost and availability of offshore reinsurance coverage for flood. Because of this, it is unlikely that a local insurer is going to stick its neck out and provide flood coverage for the full value of the dwelling, even if the dwelling isn't in a flood zone. The local insurers just don't have the financial capacity to do so without reinsurance support. -
