My girlfriend's friend has a serious illness which until today we thought was leukaemia. She's undergone the first course of chemo and is out of hospital for a while. We now hear it's called

maleng dtom nam luang

I can see it means "cancer xxxxx yellow water", and I now know it's something to do with the glands, presumably the lymph system, but would like to know the English term.

I found it in the thai2english dot com dictionary and it is lymphoma. It is also treated with chemotherapy and you can find more information here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lymphoma
