Gas Oven - Where To Buy In Cm?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new gas oven. I'd like a built-in one, same dimensions as the many electric ovens that are available around the city.

So far I can only find stand-alone oven/hob combos. Does anyone know if there is a specialist outlet in Chiang Mai, dealing with gas appliances?

Thanks...

(PS - I realise that there was a thread about ovens only last week but my query relates specifically and only to GAS ovens. The previous one was about electric ovens).

LOL - the problems of buying stuff in Chiang Mai....

I've never seen such a thing, but the fact that you can buy 30 different electric models with not a single gas one available fits in with the generally hopeless pattern of stocking goods in Chiang Mai stores... 30 large hinge styles, but no different sizes; 30 variations on a stainless steel sink but none with a double drainer, etc... The buyers for the large stores here are truly hopeless...

I wanted to buy a stand-alone cooker with a decent thermostaticaly controlled electric oven, but could find no such thing so had to buy a built-in one and then build a housing for it! Maybe you'll have to buy a full sized cooker and cut it down!

You can order them. Try a place like HomePro, There are also various models of gas oven and gas burner top with electric coil broiler in the oven.

Exactly correct. About an hour ago I saw a very nice 4 gas burner top with oven and elect coil broiler.... 29,900 at Global. All Stainless Steel [maybe] and another little more bells and whistles for 49.900 baht. Can't say for sure if the oven was gas or electric, but I think gas.

I just bought one yesterday at Siam T.V. at Chiang Mai Gate. 3 burner top with an extra space and gas oven. Altogether 7,400 Baht. Only one style though. My friend bought one a few years ago and its still working fine. Upstairs in the back.

I bought one at power buy like the one above, about 8,000 baht if I remember right, works great. wife does breads, cookies, roasts, cakes etc.. single gas burner in oven, three on top.

Only problem with the local made stoves is that the oven is crap-No insulation at all-open space below right to the floor-can't get a decent HIGH temperature for bakeing and they last about 6 to 7 years before they rust out

.I'm still looking for a proper oven-either gas or electric in the Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai area.
