I am trying to apply for a work permit using one of my close friend's company (which is based and registered in Bangkok).

Knowing that the application process might be complicated. Will appreciated if anyone know of any reputable agent/company

who/which is able to help. Cost wise?

A work permit requires a job/employment. If that is what you mean believe there are a number of law firms that can help provide details at normal price ranges for such service. It will depend a lot on the situation if this is working for the company or just getting your paperwork together from a company that knows what is required.
