Hi All smile.gif

I hope this is the right section to post in, sorry if not

We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children ages 15, 10 & 7 and we are looking at spending 3 months arriving in Thailand and will be making our way to Singapore to then fly on to Australia.

I have been researching on areas best for families but I am struggling on accommodation as most places seem to be for 4, I did find some 3 bed rentals but most seem to be for 3 months and I would like to see different areas of Thailand and not be committed to staying in one place.

If I secure somewhere for the first few weeks, how difficult is to find somewhere to stay once there ?

Thanks for any info

You should not have much problem almost all hotels will have the option of a rollaway bed to make a 2 person room into 3 person.

Some of the larger hotels will have double queens size beds (2) then add a rollaway and you can get 5 in one room but you would be best to discuss this with reception on your arrrival or email the hotel prior to arriving.

generally although it can vary, the rollaway is about 500 baht extra on top of the room rate.

Hope this helps, enjoy your trip :D

Thank you Charlie H rolleyes.gif

That has put my mind at rest, some bungalows that I have emailed have just been getting back to me and it seems that some have family rooms that can accommodate 5 at a squash but the price is good.

We are not bothered about roughing it, we lived in 1 room here in France for 3 years while we renovated, not easy !

Right more research, more planning
