Vip Direct Bus From Pattaya To Udon Thani

Featured Replies

Has anyone taken a VIP direct bus from Pattaya to Udon Thani?

I know most buses bound for Issan leave from the depot on Sukhumvit near Pattaya Klang (or they used to). But are there other private companies that leave from other locations in Pattaya or Jomtien?

Does anyone have the contact details for any of the VIP bus companies? Can bookings be made in advance?

Are there both day and night buses?

Thanks in advance.

Contact details for Nakhonchai Air (the best bus company in Thailand)

I am not sure if there is a direct bus from Pattaya to Udon. If there isn't, then your best option is Pattaya to Korat, quite a few 1st class and V.I.P buses go through Korat. Then bus Korat to Udon. Nakornchai air do run Through Korat to Ubon. But quite a few ofher buslines do as well.

So far, this is all I've come up with:

There is a bus company called: "999 VIP". They have an overnight bus from Udon to Swampy and an overnight bus from Swampy to Nong Khai. Along the route it has short pick up stops in Korat, Khon Kaen, Udon, and the final destination of Nong Khai.

They operate 24 seat VIP buses. Their telephone # in Udon: 042-221-489. I don't have their # at the airport or their schedule yet. But I have heard they are reliable.

I'm thinking it would be easier, more convenient, and less time to get from Pattaya/Jomtien to Swampy, than from Pattaya/Jomtien to Mochit???

Depends very much on the connection times.999 is the Transport Company, Govt. owned. Reliable ? yes,not too bad. Many buses ,which start from Rayong stop at Pattaya. Then stop at Korat. Muk-Rayong, Ubon -Rayong are just 2. I would have thought that Rayong- Khon Kaen was a possibility. These are all relatively new services, so general knowledge of them is limited. As are booking offices. Though I would have thought ,they would all have booking offices somewhere in Pattaya.

I would thoroughly recommend the VIP Bus between Chiang Rai _Chiang Mai & v v

I hope that this is the same company ,if so expect:

Separate check-in

Separate Tagging & stowing of luggage

Sound proof door between driver & cabin

Hostess with bottled water & snack

Reclining seat with head/neck support & footrest

Western TV programmes or fils subtitled VDO on 1 central screen ,Thai Dialogue

Advised when approaching destination with cool refreshing tissue

Clean & quite spacious western style touilet on bus

Check that baggage tag matches your receipt before luggage handed over.

Hostess will also help elderly passengers and children board/disembark.

Worth the extra

All 1st class and V.I.P., whether transport company or private operators offer the same level or standards of service. But in many cases the Transport company runs many fewer services than the private operators do. So, your decision rests on who is closest to your desired departure time.
