NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) -- Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula on Sunday said it is planning to carry out smaller but more frequent attacks against the United States, while releasing more details about its failed attempt to down two U.S. cargo planes.

The terrorist organization released the details in a magazine obtained by BNO News, in which it openly discussed its strategy. "To bring down America we do not need to strike big," it said. "In such an environment of security phobia that is sweeping America, it is more feasible to stage smaller attacks that involve less players and less time to launch and thus we may circumvent the security barriers America worked so hard to erect."

The al-Qaeda affiliate said its strategy to carry out smaller but more frequent attacks could be referred to as 'the strategy of a thousand cuts.' "The aim is to bleed the enemy to death," it added.

The organization also released a photograph of a book and two photographs of an HP printer which it had used in October in an attempt to down two U.S.-bound cargo planes with PETN explosives.

"Two Nokia mobiles, $150 each, two HP printers, $300 each, plus shipping, transportation and other miscellaneous expenses add up to a total bill of $4,200," al-Qaeda said, dubbing the plot 'Operation Hemorrhage.' It said it took the organization six people and three months to plan and execute the operation.

Am I the only person to find this latest " announcement " by Al Quaeda to be just yet another well timed release to fuel the fear that the Governments need to keep us all scared and to excuse the bad press the TSA is getting lately ?

Think about it for a moment ?

If as we are told these people are intent on causing death and destruction to the filthy infidel then why on earth would they even bother with planes ?

Just look at the carnage they cause in Iraq and Afghanistan and not 1 plane targeted. They do not need to go to all the trouble of trying to smuggle a bomb onto a plane they just need to target other easier soft targets such as cinemas, shopping malls high streets etc. The very fact they are not tells me this is nothing but horseshit!

These so called terrorists have gone from bringing the most militarised country to its knees to the most inept, bungling tossers in a short period of time yet in that time the freedoms of the public have been cut to the max.

Statistically you are more likely to suffer an injury due to slipping in the bath than you are to be a victim of a terrorist attack yet we do not spend billions on making sure you are not injured in the bath do we !

As said I think this is all just to keep us all scared as scared people are more easily controlled and that is the main objective in all this.

If you are referring to Al Qaeda and other Islamic terrorist groups, you might have a legitimate point.
