American Airlines and India's Kingfisher Airlines announce codeshare agreement

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) -- American Airlines and India's leading carrier Kingfisher Airlines on Tuesday announced they will enter into a codeshare and frequent flyer relationship starting in 2011.

The airliners said the initial phase of the codeshare relationship will allow American to place its AA* code on Kingfisher Airlines domestic network. American will also codeshare on Kingfisher Airlines flights from London Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Kingfisher Airlines will place its IT* code on flights between Delhi and Chicago O'Hare, as well as on selected American flights between the U.S and London Heathrow.

Kingfisher Airlines Kingfisher Airlines flies to 60 cities in India and eight international destinations and has over 346 daily departures with a fleet of 66 aircraft.
