Gold Robber Seriously Shot

A man was seriously wounded when he was shot while attempting to rob a gold shop in Ayudhaya province.

He fled before he was able to steal any items.

A security camera caught a man, dressed in black, being shot by the shop's owner while he was trying to make off with gold necklaces in Ayudhaya province.

The shop's owner Parinya Trongtammakit said he shot the robber three times with a .38 mm gun.

He believes that the bullets he fired seriously wounded the robber, as the rob had apparently lost a lot of blood.

Parinyaadded that the robber ran away before he managed to actually steal any of the necklaces, and left his hat and bag on the counter.

Police said there have been no reports of a man fitting the robbers' description from nearby hospitals.

However, authorities will be using the bag and hat he left behind as a clues as to the man's identity and whereabouts.

Samui hit by flood, landslides

Samui Island, a tropical paradise, struggled Tuesday with flood and landslides.

Following hours of heavy downpour in the morning, floodwater filled many areas of Samui and caused landslides. Piles of rock and landmass spread across the road at the Prapa Mountain Pass, paralysing traffic for a long while.

Although ferry and flight services to and from Samui are still running as usual, tourists were advised to check updates before starting their trips.
