December 6, 201015 yr My Thai girlfriend and I wish to marry but I am worried that she may not like the UK and I would not be able to relocate to Thailand and work. Therefore I would like for her to visit me in the UK for say 6 weeks, I think it would make a lot of sense but here is the problem, she now lives in Bangkok, I sponsor her on the understanding she works and what I give is to give her a better standard of living. She has not got a full time job, she dose casual work for her brother who has a one room factory for sowing baby garments, and sometimes she may be child minding for him, she also gets casual work that she can find and she has to go back to the village to help her mother with the rice when needed. She has no property other than the room she rents and therefore I see that she really has nothing to return to other than her daughter aged 9, and family although I would have no worry about her returning I do not think this would entitle herto a visitors visa, can anybody advise what the minimum requirements of proof needed of someone's intention to return are? As for our relationship, we meet April 2008, and I have returned to Thailand 5 times sincewhere she spent 2 to 3 weeks with me on each visit, she has also accompanied meto Kula Lumpur, I have also been with her and spent time with her in he rvillage in Surin. December 8, 201015 yr Pas & GO companies are obliged to give you records if required and can produce a statement of calls made. You must request this sometimes they charge a small fee but you can get these records.

December 12, 201015 yr When my then gf applied for her first UK visitors visa she was declined. I was flippant at the time and thought that as she was a teacher and I had my own business and was of good standing that a visa would be no trouble. It is your job to prove to the visa people that you are in a relationship and that she will return to Thailand after her visit. In her second application she included many pictures of us together and copies of emails and also copies of bank statements proving that there was enough money to support her visit. She also had a letter from school saying when she will be back for work. Give as much information as possible, you can never give to much. After a further visa problem, where my now wife was deported, she now has a visa and we live together happily in UK. She passed her Life in the UK test last week and she will apply for an "indefinite leave to stay" visa soon. I wish you luck, by dotting the i's and crossing the t's you will get there. Paul
December 12, 201015 yr Put in your letter of sponcer that she loves Thailand, and that she has stong family values and you cannot see any reason why she would not return to thailand . that may help you
December 12, 201015 yr If you/she has covered all the other hurdles then family ties are as strong a reason to return as anything, emphasize the 9yo daughter and other family reasons and this will cover the point, it might not cover the point sufficiently enough for the visa, but you have given it your best shot.
