Thank you Lite Beer but unfortunately I could not find the information I need on the reference you gave and I cannot use a telephone. I need to know what days they are going to be open over the Christmas and New year period as I have been informed that they will not be open arround the 27th December.

Mine runs out on the 26th so I will be going on the 23rd just to make sure.

Up to 10 days before the "due date" has never been a problem for me.

Considering Christmas is not celebrated here I do not understand why anyone would think the government offices would be closed. As far as I know they will close on 31 December as NYE is a holiday here and also 1st of January which might then include Monday as a extra day.

They're definitely closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but should be open on 27th.

You really should get your facts right before posting something like this. You could have had people turning up on Christmas Day/Boxing Day only to find the office closed, and possibly causing them to be fined for overstay etc.

Considering Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on Saturday and Sunday this year and the office is closed on weekends who would I be confusing?

Everybody as if the 25th and 26th were official holidays then the 27th and 28th would be given in lieu

This is a Buddhist country - they do not celebrate Christmas - so it is not a holiday in Thailand no matter what day of the week it falls on!!

I went to ask when I'd need to do my 90-days-show -- I had renewed my 1-year visa just recently, but arrived back to Thailand from a holiday before that (the answer was: 90 days after arriving back to Thailand, BTW).

The friendly person at immigration said "you can do it right now [= too early] and have it done and over with, seeing as you're here already". It seems as if it doesn't really matter how early you do your 90-days-thing -- earlier is okay, later certainly not!

you can go up to 10 days before due date. Should solve the problem. Christmas day is not an official holiday in Thailand, I doubt they would close.

Does Pattaya Immigration no longer have a website? I know they did when they first opened office in Jomtien but all the links I saved are no longer valid.

A valid url would be greatly appreciated if one exists.

They'll be closed this year.
