Working In Thailand (it)

Featured Replies

I'm a Filipino currently living in Australia. I hold a Philippine passport and am entertaining the idea of working in Bangkok. I'm 24 and in my final semester of my computer science undergrad degree. My specialisation is in cryptography and I currently work part-time as a security consultant in an IT company in Sydney.

Are there any sort of agreements between ASEAN countries which would make it easier for me to work in Thailand? Considering I do not speak Thai would it be possible for me to land an IT job there? Teaching at a university is also an option as I'm more academic/research-inclined. Any comments or insights would be good!

PS. I know what you're thinking. Career-wise why don't I stay in Australia? Well, let's just say :o has gotten the best of me. She isn't my gf (though I hope she would be in the future) but she's going back to Thailand soon so I'm going to chase after her. If it doesn't work out I also wouldn't mind the experience of having to live in (yet) another country.
