August 21, 200520 yr I've heard there is a subscription English language library in Pattaya someplace off Sukhumvit. Does anybody know the name and exact location of this place?
August 21, 200520 yr Its between central Pattaya and North Pattaya roads on the same side and just before (heading towards BKK) the orphanage. Called Northstar or something like that and set back from the road on a deep plot of land. There is a sign from Sukhumvit but I think its only open 3 days a week.
August 21, 200520 yr I clipped this from the Pattaya City Expats Club newsletter- NORTH STAR LIBRARY – New opening hours for the North Star Library – their building is on Sukhumvit Road next to the Redemptorist Center (opposite Index Furniture). Mondays 12.00–20.00, Thurs & Fri 12.00-16.00, Sat 12.00-20.00 Sun 10.00-14.00
August 23, 200520 yr Thanks guys - I found it last night with your help. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Any good? Or (being next to Redemptorist Church) is it evangelical? There are a couple of evangelical places occasionally open on (near) Thepprasit. But very poor selection, unless you are into religious tracts.
August 23, 200520 yr Author Yes it has an evangelical theme - there is a sign above the stating "Father Ray Foundation". The selection isn't fantastic but for me still worth the B1,200 a year membership fee. I read an awful lot and even the prices of second hand books in Pattaya are quite expensive.

You may be able to trade a few a week around Patty if you circulate enough. But you will have to accept tatty books.
