Receiving International Packages....

Featured Replies

Hello, we were mailed a package from home (USA) priority on December 6, and was told it would arrive in 5-10 days. Now it is December 18, and online with the tracking number, it says the package arrived in Thailand almost five days ago, but we still have not received it. Does anyone know if this delay is normal? I do know that my Mother did not write our address in Thai, only in English, so maybe that has something to do with it....? But we are in Bangkok, only an hour or so from the airport, and we cannot imagine how it could take five days to get from there to here. Any thoughts on what could be going on or what we should do? Thanks so much in advance!

Someone in another thread said that you can track USPS priority mail after it reaches Thailand. They claim you use the Thai postal site to do so. You could try that? I have never tried it myself as I just heard this the other day.

Other than that...when we send USPS Priority to Thailand it does take 5-6 days after it reaches LOS to be delivered.

Have you tried the post office (if via USPS) or the local office of UPS/DHL/Fed Ex? With the tracking number, someone should be able to help you from this end.

writing the address in English will not matter

the delay is not normal

you can track it on line in English at http://track.thailandpost.co.th/trackinternet/Default.aspx?lang=en

if its still not moved then take the number to the local post office and ask them where it is and start a trace

if its there the the named recipient will have to show ID in the same name to claim it
