 Once again the immigration website is making it impossible to follow their required procedure for Hotels to list their guests details. For three days now after finally managing to log in after trying for two hours, you are shown a form to fill in that only extends 70% of the page. So can we send them by fax ? No you cannot but we will fine you B10 K if you do not submit guests details within three days. Is there anyone else out there having this problem ? Methinks as we are approaching New Year a lot of hotels will be contributing B10 K to the Immigration Holiday Fund.

Why isn't this reported to government authorities in Bangkok?

Why arn't they named and shamed for their actions? Why do people put up with this?

How long are they going to be allowed to continue the way they are?

:( It may be only us as they are also saying " You were full for 3 weeks for the Samui Regatta but Immigration got nothing ! :whistling: Just so selfish and they completely miss the big picture. Seems they want a cut of everything !

Please post a link to the immigration website, i cant get on to it.

we are told to access suratthani.immigration.go.th and then follow directions to type in our report but their page is only 70% wide unlike Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket immigration.

Please post a link to the immigration website, i cant get on to it.

This is from an earlier post of mine about this.

I was then given this web address http://www.immigrati...ov2004/base.php to go to a Govt website to register.

Before you change the Language into English, scroll down and click the box above the Google Search box on the left hand side down at the bottom of the page.

Unless you can read Thai you are going to have to get some to help with the next steps, but once you register it get's easier. I got my log- in info the same day and now only need a bit of Thai help to read the different Points of entry.

I've been having no problems for the last few days, except for last night, and I gave up as it was taking years to load their pages. Today has been OK and have been on there twice without any problems.

I don't understand about being directed to a Suratthani page, as from day one when I registered, it just asked me which area I was in and after checking Surat, or Koh Samui ( don't remember which ) from the box it just logs me straight in.

I have 2 ISPs here, Maxnet and TOT, and find it much easier on TOT, although Maxnet is much quicker for everything else.

It doesn't matter whether you direct your email to Samui Immigration or Surat Thani Immigration because they both go the same address. It is here when we use the user name and password they gave us, the download takes hours. Our operator is Thai but she has the interminable download time to contend with and then a details page which is too small when she finally accesses the website. Wil treat you to lunch if you can come and see our problem..

Yes it does, also guests in your own home, officially.

Crusty and others.

According to the rules you must report to immigrations or closest police station.

So if everyone start reporting at Chaweng (bophut) new nice office the will get really annoyed and make immigrations fix the problems.

why don't u just not register them till there shop opens. If they are not working then they will not know when they checked in. just put the check in date the same day the shop opens.

if they want to play games so should u

Because on Samui,no one cares about people ,its all about the money-roads,police,hospitals,immigration,ect,ect,no one gives a hoot here.

ive never seen the roads soooooo bad,and its high season, what a better way to leave an impression how inefficient the mafia, oops goverment is here.if its broken, why fix it ,they are making money anyway.....

Is all that reporting for real or not?

With the number of hotels around and number of people checking in and out all the time the Immigration would need to increase their staff 100 times just to read these forms. Do Thai run hotels do the reporting? How come they never ask passport numbers and visa numbers of all guests checking in? And what about my situation when we have guests arriving renting the house and later more people coming and going and somebody staying one night only? Do I need to monitor all of that "alien activity" and keep checking all passport numbers and visa details .. and filling up forms and reporting? What is a fine again? 10,000 THB? Because the amount of work involved in this nonsense may be worth much more than that. What do you people thing and do?
