Penang Ok Two Times In A Row For 60+30 Day Visa?

Featured Replies

As the topic title explains! I was here for 1 year on an education visa at first, then got a 3 month extension at burma so was here for 15 months. Ive now finished another 3 months of my first tourist visa which I attained from Penang. I would like to now get another from penang because its my cheapest option since I'm in Phuket.

What do you all think?

Looks like you are not a tourist :whistling:

Vientiane might be a better idea, you can get a double entry tourist visa there.

Believe Penang doesn't give new tourist visas if you have an extension on a tourist visa.

ah shit :( Way to ruin my xmas! Looks like i may be making a trip to vientine from phuket via moped cause thats the only way im gonna afford this lol

This thread confirms no tourist visa in Penang if you have extended one:

Not sure about other options, as Cambodia or Kuala Lumphur.

If you just hop over the border you will get 15 days only.

To Vientiane by moped, I don't envy you. That's a long, long way.

No, if you get a tourist visa you will always get 60 days on entry by air or land. But if you don't have a visa and qualify for a visa exempt entry, you will get 15 days if you just leave Thailand, enter another country and come back to Thailand again by land transport.

I just mentiond it incase you wanted to postone the long journey to Vientiane because of the holidays.
