Got 2 Thai students over for 6 months and the both have wi fi on their Vios so had to nip down to PC World last week and pick up a router (Still on hard wire Virgin Media)

Anyway worked well for a week but now wont connect to windoww.

Indication says connected -disconnected-connected -disconnected...and on and on.....???

Signal strength good at up to 400 BPS ...and tried with other laptops but same....any idea chaps?

Other wise I will rtake it back and ask for a new one ...BUT.....

Reboot the Wlan . .. leaving computer on. And vice versa . .leave Wlan on and Rebloot computer. Either way maybe will help. Other than that belongs to the specialist crew . . I a real dumbass when it comes to computers, but on one thing I have had surprises . . Rebooting most often will help . . ;)

A home grade router can only support 4 simultaneous connections. Have you set up your wireless security to WPA2 with a security key and with a specific SSID? If not, your neighbors may already logged in to the unsecured wireless signal and thus additional computers cannot connect.

Try redoing Wi-Fi setup on router and reconnecting the PC/latops Do it with a totally different SSID and password than the one you used first time. Make sure your using WPA2 security also. where are you located? If it close I can help if that does not work.

SSID password and WPA2 security all top notch.

Now students can take to parents all day long back in Bang-na (between excursions to the Bl**dy shops)

One of them bought a hand bag the other day in Selfridges...Baberry or sumit...£900 quid... :o I must be in the wrong job....Then we just had to visit "arrods

What is it with women and shops...

Can we get the VAT back....Yes ...all sussed..

Anyway as said Router working a treat thanks all... :D
