Hi there

I wonder if any one can help me.

I have a Cannon iP1700 printer and recently the ink started getting low so I got the cartridges refilled.

Everything was going fine and I congratulated myself on saving alot of money by not paying for new cartridges but now the dam_n thing is telling me the ink has run out (it hasn't) and it won't print.

Is there anyway around this or am I going to have to fork out for new cartridges?

panic over.......

I previously took the cartridges out and put them back again, but that didn't work.

But what I didn't do was press the reset button (for a few seconds) and having now done that it seems to have solved the problem.

Have you considered getting a CISS. Then you can just pour ink in the tanks.
