Nurses Wages In Thailand/Viet Nam

Featured Replies

I put this in General but somebody might know here.

Somebody told me that an SRN earns 30,000 baht a month, that seems very high. My ex g/f has gone to work in Viet Nam as an SRN because she says she can earn a lot more there, how much in Viet Nam?

Why not ask her how much she is earning?

That is the problem. She is barely talking to me now. I don't think I will get an answer.

Does she speak the language?

I would have thought it would be very difficult for her to get a job as a nurse in Viet Nam without being able to speak Vietnamese.

So why do you care/need to know how much she is making?

Apparantly a lot of Thai nurses go there. An inability to speak good English doesn't stop nurses or doctors flooding to the UK.

Just interested. We stopped talking about 9 months ago then when I visited Thailand 2 weeks ago I got a local sim and called her and we spoke briefly and when I asked wher she was working she said Viet Nam. Just trying to get things going again.

That's maybe because there's not a lot of English speaking patients in UK hospitals these days?
