At some point this year I will marry a wonderful lady from Thailand. We will live in Thailand, but she wants to visit the USA for maybe 6 months to a year. I could bring her to the states to marry on a K1 or marry in Thailand and bring her to the states on a K3. Both the K1 and K3 are for people who want to live in the USA. Not just visit.

It's my understanding from the reading I've done on the internet that after she receives her green card through the K1 or K3 process and she leaves the USA to go back to live in Thailand, she gives up her permanent residency and cannot re-enter the USA. Here is what I read on one web site:

It is a common misconception that to keep your green card all you need to do is enter the United States at least once a year. The fact is that if you ever leave with the intention of making some other country your permanent home, you give up your U.S. residency when you go. Once again, the USCIS will look to your behavior for signals that your real place of residence is not the United States.

I want her to be able to go back to the states after her original visit. So if K1 or K3 are not options, then what other visa option does she have? It's my understanding that it is practically impossible to receive a tourist visa.

Thanks for your help.
