There is no shortage of them if that is your concern, distances in Thailand between major cities is less than a cars tankful. Plus there are plenty in between in most cases.

seconded, have been driving around Thailand for +400k km, and never been a problem with distance between fuel. My worst car was a 2003 Honda CRV 2,0 awd only managing 300km a tank at highwayspeeds, still no problem to keep it filled up every second hour.

Many close at 9-10 pm tho.

you cant really rely on maps, as they are often teared down to build new at same location

Companies like Esso do publish maps of Thailand

and they also mark their stations.

I have never topped up with Esso ever since I read some 30 odd years ago that Standard Oil was still selling fuels to the Nazis as late as 1943. Inconsequential as an ant climbing the hind legs of an elephant with intentions of rape I know, but I'm stuck with it.
