PaulDee
What are the latest Thai government plans to discontinue the availability of 91 octane regular petrol? It had been reported (rumored? discussed?) that it would be eliminated in favor of gasahol sometime soon (this year or next). Does anyone have any recent information on that subject, or on what considerations are being made for older model cars? Thanks.
katabeachbum
It was supposed to be discontinued like 2 years ago, until government realised there are actually a huge number of cars, bikes and agriculture equipment unable to use Gasohol. havent read any news on it since. Sales volume may make some fuel stations discontinue it, as they dont have tank- and pump facilities to sell all the different fuels available in LOS. But recent rebuild pumps, still have it in addition to Gasohol E10 and E20.
MoonRiverOasis
Sales volume may make some fuel stations discontinue it, as they dont have tank- and pump facilities to sell all the different fuels available in LOS. There's currently no legislation against non-ethanol blends, just market pressure and subsidies for ethanol and diesel, but not benzene. Also price fixing on LPG and CNG.
