Could be Psoriasis which l have had for 20 years. Read up on google.

interesting

i am sure it is not pink eye or conjunctivitis

did you have psoriasis around your eyelids?

and no where else?

i had no idea that would be a place for it

before i research

known cause?

treatment?

Seems 10% of any population has it in one degree or another. With me it comes and goes in different places. At the mo, up my nose and in my ears, which is a real pain. Sadly there is no cure just different things to try. Look to see if you have any other flaky skin, knees, elbows are the common ones.

nah i think it comes from a discharge in the eye

i thought i was an allergy to dairy or sugar

it isn't itchy and i can open my eyes just fine in the morning after it has accumulated

still not sure why or what to do

but quite unsightly

thanks much anyways

Not psoriasis; more probably eczema or seborrhoeic dermatitis of the eyelids. The treatment for this is a mild topical steroid ointment. ( not cream). Available here is an oitment containing Momethasone (Elocom ointment). Be sure to use an ointment not a cream as a cream will dry it out more and cause it to weep. Careful not to get this into the eyes..

Use the mildest steroid that works as the skin here is very thin and very prone to the side effects of topical steroids which may cause skin atrophy. Avoid to use any soap in this area. The underlying problem is an allergy which may be dust or even diet.

I had psoriasis around my eyes for a period of time, thankfully moved it's ugly head elsewhere.
