International child porn investigation nabs Dutch teacher

VUGHT, NETHERLANDS (BNO NEWS) -- A Dutch teacher was arrested in the southern Netherlands late last month on suspicion of producing and possessing child pornography, prosecutors announced on Monday.

The 34-year-old teacher, whose identity was not released, was arrested on December 27 as part of an international investigation into commercial child pornography websites. Several storage devices were seized during a search of the man's property.

"On these devices, child pornography was found depicting boys from the age of 12 to young adults," prosecutors said in a statement. "There are no indications at this time that the suspect had sexual contacts with underage children."

Prosecutors said the suspect, who is a teacher at a primary school, is also accused of using a webcam to produce child pornography with underage children he met online.
