The prior ThaiVisa thread on this subject, which had been running several days based on a prior news report, was closed by a moderator. And the latest news on this case was put into today's news roundup thread, rather than being given its own separate thread and headline that could be spotted more easily by forum readers. The news updates thread also does not permit member comments in that thread. Today's news report from The Nation re the girl undergoing a psych eval is located here in the ThaiVisa news roundup...and here in The Nation web site. Separately, there were reports that the girl is expected to be formally indicted next month, and quotes from an official saying that of all the juveniles sentenced in Juvenile Court here, typically about 20% are sent to training/education programs at juvenile centers, 80% receive just probation and only rarely are any sentenced to jail. There also were reports that the police accident investigation is nearly complete, and that the license plate of the girl's Honda Civic vehicle came back as having been registered to a black pickup truck in the middle of last year.
