Hi

I'm currently helping my fiance (soon to be wife) apply for a settlement visa but having a small dilemma over the most basic of question re Contact Details in Part 3 in the VAF4A form.

She has been living with me in the UK for the last 1.5 years (6 months under a tourist visa I sponsored and 1 year under a student visa). The UK flat lease is in joint names and we will refer to living together in answering question 8.4.12. At the point she applies though, her student visa will have expired so I'm thinking she has to put a Thai address not the UK flat, as she has no right to be living in the UK until she gets the settlement visa. Assuming that's right the choice it's her parents home in Nong Khai where she will will be staying whilst waiting or the Visa. If we do that though I'm not sure how to answer question 3.2 about how long she's lived there - only one week being length of her most recent stay there at the point she applies, or since she was born (but she has has been living in BKK and then in England for a few years).

Really appreciate any thoughts - probably over-thinking a simple point but these visa applications can drive you to the point of panarnoia!

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.

For question 3.2 on how long lived at this address do you think we should say something like "parents house - llived in until 14, then periodically, with latest stay since returning from UK 29 January 2011". Tricky to get it in the box though!

She should be registered in the "Ta Bien Baan" House Book so I would go by that, you may need that as supporting documentation + translation.
