I am hoping someone will be able to help me. We are having a pool built and the deal was that it would be 12 m x 5 m. The hole has been dug, the bottom layer has been put in and now they are putting wooden boxing (don't know the tech term) around the outside where the walls will be constructed.

It turns out that the 12 x 5 is the exterior diameter and the actual water area will only be 11.6 x 4.6 m. Is this right?? We stopped work and called the head guy to question it but I doubt there will be any resolution until tomorrow.

I would appreciate any quick answers you may have.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah its amazing how thick the walls are...........by the time they put the outer blocks in and then the metal lattice you lose a foot all round.

I/m at a similar stage with mine the woods all up just waiting for the concrete to be poured.

Dont think there is much you can do about it really..............you/ll just have to take shorter strokes when swimming. :o

Usually they measure middle distance.(middle of the wall :o ) Same applies to house dimensions etc

Just have to take shorter strokes when swimming.

Just have to take shorter strokes when swimming.

Or..............swim corner to corner that would do it as well. :o

Seriously you could ask him to knock some money off...........dont know if he would or not but its worth a try.

Look at the plans....what...you don't have a set of plans...then look at the specifications....what...you don't have a set of specifications...then you'll probably just have to go with what they've done...it doesn't seem too bad. My advice is to not complain too much and try to keep things going as smoothly as possible....remember....they have alot of work left to do and if they get really mad at you it can all be done really really badly...and you wouldn't want that...would you?
