I have a dual boot system with both XP and Windows 7. XP is on C: Drive and Win 7 on F:

What is the process to either totally uninstall Windows 7 or re-install Windows 7 without destroying the ability to boot to XP (the current default)?

My XP system hold all my current programs until proper Windows 7 programs are available. Loss of ability to boot to XP would be devastating.

Thanks

The procedure in a nutshell...

1. Boot to Windows XP

2. Delete or format Win7 partition (optional)

3. Insert the Win7 Installation DVD

4. Execute X:\Boot\bootsect /nt52 C: /force

5. Reboot the machine
