Hi All,

Back in the "real" world my (thai) wife and I were quite active ametrure gardeners - growing all manners of things from regualrly used veg. (tomatoes, beans, onions, potatoes, vine fruits, etc.) to flowers, shrubs, and herbs etc.

We are living in the Bangkok suburbs, and have quite a decent sized garden. We'd like to start gardening here, including growing some fruit and veg also. This obvisouly isn't aimed at saving money growing our own, it is ( a ) for the pleasure of gardening, and ( b ) for the peace of mind knowing we are eating home grown near-as-possible to organic fruit & veg.

So - I was wondering could anyone point us in the right direction for resources - information resources at this stage.......... "10 easy lessons to home grown veg in Thailand" type of thing......

Many thanks,

CM

Chatuchak plant market is a good source for plants and info.

Also some shops outside the market like KU-Garden are a great source for material and info.

If you wanting books on fruit & vegies , Se-ed Books has a good selection of booklets and books that are written in thai but often have the latin botanical name in english so you can identify and will give you a head start for a further search for info on google , or else your wife (i am persuming u don't read Thai) can translate. I often refer to my collection in that way.

Hope that helps
