Kentang Area/Island Nearby

About 18 years ago I took a train down to Kentang (past Trang on the ocean), jumped on a long tail boat and stayed at the only resort at that time on Koh Libong (pretty sure it was Koh Libong, could be wrong). The place had just opened and there was only one other guests, and it was pretty idyllic. I know things are likely to be a bit different all these years later, but I am thinking of grabbing a train next week down to Kantang with a friend, and would appreciate it if anyone can update me with any recommendations as far as accommodations on any islands close to Kentang. Would even consider a land side place if on the ocean and nice. Preference is a simple place, quiet, NO need for disco, AC, banana boat, pool, etc. Shooting for under 1000B/night if that is still possible. My friend likes his beer, so if a place doesn't serve that it should not be on the list Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Been to LiBong Island numerous times....

Both accommodations on the beach now provide a/c rooms....

As you perhaps recall, they are all individual small buildings but detached....

It costs about 600 per night....

A really relaxing atmosphere....

During high seasons, you need to do advanced booking and price is a bit more in the neighborhood of 900....

You can get a long tail from Trung to get there nowadays.... about 200 baht per.....
