Elephants In Bangkok

Featured Replies

The governor of BkK said he would ride the last animals out himself if they hadn't been removed by a certain date last year.

so have all the elephants now left Bkk - if so where have they gone?

Edited by Deeral

I haven't seen them in the city in sometime.

Were they went? Probably another tourist spot. I see them everywhere else.

They where baned from the City because to many where getting hurt , The concrete was collapsing under there weight causing injury to the poor animals feet and legs.

And so they should be banned from the city...we still have them around khon kaen and its a sad i can tell you

As long as there are both tourists & thais who are willing to spend money on stupid bananas to feed them, then they will be for ever walking around with these elephants.

Sometime you still see some elephant sized creatures at the bars in lower Sukhumvit.........
