What must i do to claim my allowance for a Thai Wife.? We have been married Legally with a Marriage Certificate for 10 Years, All my English Devorce papers were certified at the Brit Embassy.Original decree etc.My Wife has never been to the U.K. and wouldnt go anyway. Her Passport is in my surname.Any Ideas, i hear so much rubbish from ex pats,a bit of Fact would be wellcomby

As far as I know you cannot. :(

The benefit was known as Adult Dependency Increase. It ceased to be available April 2010 unless you were already claiming. In that case you could continue to claim until April 2020.

are you coming up to retirement age? are you thinking of claiming as a married man?

if so lite beer post #2 answered that question.

Or do you just want to notify the uk government you are now married?

your wife could be entitled to a UK pension in the future based on your contributions.

Sadly, you have missed the boat.

ADI would have been worth up to 1.5 million baht over the 10 year period.

Yes,i paid PAYE until i was made redundant at 48,{ 16 Y.O to 48.Y.O.}, then spent 2 years on the dole, so i came here, Im told ive done enough years to get my pension at 65,because i wasted 2 Years on the Rock until i was 50 trying to find a job before i came out here.My Tax affairs were signed off in the U.K. so im clear with the Inland Revenue. Thanks, more good info.

Depending on your current age you may not get your state pension until you are 66 or even older.

Have another look at that link I gave.

Not really Visa related so moved to General.

You will need 30 years contributions, for full pension.

check

for age you will be able to retire

You will get an automated response but an e-mail app 10 days later.

Steve thanks it looks O. K. But my post has been moved somewhere else.I Should have posted my Question under

. I have need of my Pension to obtain a Visa.!!!. :) I never get on with admin..Perhaps if i say i need my Pension to buy a Truck it would have been moved to Motoring.

Your question was about upgrading your UK state pension to include claiming for your Wife.

Nothing to do with Visas.

In fact it is not even Thai related but I kept it open for you by moving it to the General Forum.

You have had some good replies by members including Me.

You have had your answer. You cannot claim for a Thai Wife.

CLOSED.
