is it possible to upload a htm file to a router ?

Why do you want to, unless it is a saved configuration for the router?

In which case the router menu should offer you the option to restore the config.

Uploading an HTML file to a router doesn't make any sense, unless you have a very unusual router that includes an embedded web server.

What are you trying to achieve?

<br />Use TFTP.<br /><br />For example:<br /><br />
<br />
tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT code.bin code.bin<br />

<br />

<br /><br /><br />

thanks

will try

Ah, that looks like the web-based configuration of your router, you should be able to modify the settings from your browser. If you don't see any options are you logged on to the router as Admin?

Which router do you have? Maybe someone can give more directed help with a little more information :)

In your browser, when connected to your network, go to the page http://192.168.1.1/WMACFilter.htm You'll be prompted for a user name and password. I'm guessing yours is a Linksys router, so if someone hasn't changed the user name and password, both will be "admin" (without the quotes). You'll then see the page where you can make the changes and save them.

seems that my linksys router doesn't support uploading config files via tftp

No big surprise. Try reading the advice about using your browser to access the router, logging on and changing the configuration. Just forget about trying to upload files. USE YOUR BROWSER.
