I'll be selling my Vigo in a month or two.. not exactly sure yet.

It's on the high end of the model line up and just over a year old.

Where would be the best place to advertise/sell vehicles, and is there any local guide or some way to accurately set the price?

And.. do you think removing the accessories (electric bed cover, mat, liner, upgraded stereo/speakers/sub/dvd) and selling them separately would be better? I have the original stereo stuff to put back in..

Also.. I just renewed my insurance and registration.. do you factor this into the price, or do people normally seek refunds?

Any advice would be appreciated.. :)

(b5 has never been near this vehicle.. :D)

If its a 4x4 auto 3,0 4 door G its a very easy sell. any farang place catches best price, like Hua Hin, Phuket, Kho Samui, Pattaya, Chiang May

I would use classifieds at thaivisa dot com, as it hits all of LOS, and the local newspapers/websites for above mentioned places.

850k baht should work

refund on insurance will usually be 50% of reminder

Thank you. It is. Black. 16.5k Perfect. Toyota serviced every 5k.

I'm not yet set on the date (probably within 2 months), but I'll know soon. I sold my Fortuner last year (4 years old) and got this not knowing I'd be leaving this soon. Actually, didn't expect to leave at all. Oh well.

Do you think it helps or hinders to have leave the upgraded radio/stereo intact? Its a simple JVC DVD player with remote, upgraded speakers, and a small self powered sub under the passenger seat. The bed cap is color matched and lifts by motors?

I d say the extras makes it more easy to sell, but you wont get much for them. I d also guess white and silver are most easy to sell, so would let the extras compensate for the color

have it waxed and a proper interior clean up before ads, and it should sell within 14 days :)

Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated.

I get two coats of hand wax on this every month and even imported Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner.. so each month it gets turned back to 'like new' cleanliness. Not even a scratch, nick, or smudge. I'm a bit of a freak that way, but it comes from maintaining my 'real' cars back in the states. With collectibles proper cleaning and maintenance is crucial to maintain their value.

It's funny, when I sold the Fortuner I put ads on four farang websites at about 2am.. by 9am the next morning I had over 50 email inquiries. I selected the first ten and made appointments for that afternoon. By 3pm I had cash in my hand and the car was sold. I was going to repeat this process again, but I always wondered if I sold it so quickly because the price was too low.. which would be my ignorance of the local used car market. It was a first run Fortuner, 2004/2005, about 80k, maintained every 5k and cleaned/waxed like I described above, and it sold for 820,000. The funny part, 49 of the 50 inquiries were from Thai's who cruise these sites looking for farang owned cars. I think because we actually maintain them its a selling point.. :)
