February 15, 201115 yr Hi there, Finally, I got the OneTouch Delica yesterday from the states. With its tiny lancet, it indeed causes less pain. I used OneTouch Ultra Soft before. It was a night and day experience. I'm curious, does anyone know the difference between OneTouch Delica and Accu-Chek Multiclix - I mean the pain level, which one is less painful. I have two Multiclix pens at home but never try them. I'm turned off by the drums, it looks too complicated to me. Thanks!
February 15, 201115 yr I can say the Multiclix is very painless (for wife but I am guinea pig) and combined with the extremely low blood requirement of the Aviva model even the wife is happy. Have not fund the drum to be complex - just twist after each use to get a new needle. It physically shows the usage and needles are inside the canister so no contact. As for comparison can not comment as have not used the new One-Touch model.
February 15, 201115 yr I had the OneTouch Ultra. I switched to the AccuChek Performa and found the multiclix lancet much less painful. Cheaper too as they seem to last longer.
February 15, 201115 yr Author I switched from OneTouch Ultra and OneTouch Ultra 2 since Sept 2009, the inflated figure sent my poor dad direct to ER. Since then I began to use both Accu-Chek Aviva and Accu-Chek Performa but I still sticked with the OneTouch Ultra Soft lancing pen until yesterday. Will try the Accu-Chek Multiclix. Thanks for your reply, appc it.
February 16, 201115 yr Is the Aviva and Performa that same unit? It appears Performa is the OZ name. Are either available on Thai market yet? I have had to order strips from UK (ebay) but only used occasionally so not an issue.

From what I understood, Aviva (blue color) meter is available in the states (where I got it) as well as the UK (according to you). Performa (maroon color) is available in Thailand and several countries in Asia. They are almost the same, I personally believe that Aviva is more accurate than Performa, I took both of them to the hospital during the blood draw and asked the lab technician to put some blood samples on them, then I compared with the lab test result. The strips for these two are completely different, Aviva strips are bigger, easy to use esp for elderly. The strips for Performa is a bit small, about the same size as One Touch.
