Please feel free to add all other locations. smile.gif

Well, today's the day the World Cup starts and it is on for the next 6 weeks! thumbsup.gif

India are the firm favourites, but there could be a few surprises.

Whether you will be watching it at one of the pubs or bars in Chiang Mai showing it live on the big screen, or streaming it at home….enjoy the games and let's hope for some great cricket. smile.gif

PS. Feel free to post feedback about your country (if they are playing) or matches in general. It looks like Zimbabwe are off to an easy start. And where are the American's? The Canadian's are there. Well, today’s the day, off we go – the Cricket World Cup ison for the next 6 weeks!Indiaare the firm favourites, but there could be a few surprises.

PS: Rumour has it that Zimbabwe requested a difficult first game to get it out of the way, but they have toplay Australia instead. And where are the American's?...... the Canadians are there. wink.gif

Come on mate, give us a break.

Australia hasn't lost a game in more than 8 years!

India will be hard to beat at home but they will have

the weight of the whole country on their shoulders.

A billion cricket fanatics to keep happy.

I'll be happy if we make the semi finals.

Anything's possible after that.

Oh, and that we knock out SA :)

Regards

Will

Hi Will - you know I'm joking just to see if you are out there - hope you are well,

The Aussies have a fantastic record and their form in the ODI against England wasn't bad either.sad.gif

India will either rise to the occasion or as you say, crack under the weight of their nation.

The South African's are a useful team and if they start to play they will be hard to beat

Personally I'm tipping The Netherlands.whistling.gif

It's not The Ashes, so I have absolutely no axe to grind with the Aussies.wink.gif

Just looking forward to watching some great cricket over the next six weeks

Cheers mate.

Did you see that amazing game against India yesterday?

We almost did it and how often does a ODI chasing 320 runs end in a draw?

Didn't see it but wish I did.

Sounds like a cracker of a game.

No home side has ever won the WC

and I think the Indians will be under

enormous pressure.

There's something wrong with the fixtures when

Australia play only one game in 13 days.

If they're going to have the "minows", I think they

should be in a separate group with maybe the top

2 going through.

With Sri Lanka losing to Pakistan, they will be looking

to bounce back at against the Aussies next week.

Still can't believe True Visions not broadcasting it!

Will

G'day mate - I can believe anything with True Visions, after not purchasing WC football commentary in English and conning loads of people to purchase their HD package prior!

Tend to agree with you about the minnows and Sri Lanka, who will be dangerous as they are a pretty good team if they hit form.

Maaaate!!

What were we saying about those bloody minnows!!

I didn't see it but that is one great chase by our Irish friends.

I had just finished reading an article by Peter Roebuck saying

that maybe the final will be between Sth Africa and England.

Just goes to show that anything can happen.

Anyway, it makes it interesting.

G'day Will.

I'd like to say luck of the Irish, but there was nothing lucky about it - in my book they thoroughly deserved it......what a magnificent innings by O'Brien, the fastest century in World Cup history. Well done Ireland.

I saw a pre-match interview, where the Irish captain said that Ireland shouldn't be classed as a minnow. I thought yeah right, say that after you have played England. Boy am I glad I didn't say that out loud!
