February 20, 201115 yr Democrat urged PAD to make a clear stance before proposing to talk with the government By NUPPOL SUVANSOMBUT. BANGKOK, 20 February 2011 (NNT)-The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) has been told by the Democrat Party to make a clear stance in the negotiation with the government while the Party Spokesperson Dr. Buranat Samutarak said it is common in politics for any individuals to criticize the Prime Minister. In an anticipated move by the PAD, Dr Buranat urged them to be clear on their demands before entering the negotiations with the government if they are concerned over the Thai-Cambodian issue. He further explained that the matter is currently being dealt with at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) at this stage. The UNSC said the Thai government is already following the right procedure and the Cambodian government has been showing positive signs towards the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The Democrat Spokesperson also called the Thai Patriotic Network to stop attacking Mr. Nattaporn Towprayoon, a Thai lawyer who represents the two remaining Thais in Cambodia, citing that it may cause further delay in an attempt to free them from prison. As for the accusation against Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, Dr. Buranat claimed the Prime Minister is a Thai national and he is required to have a visa before entering England. He added that while Mr. Abhisit was studying in England, he was paying the international student rates. -- NNT 2011-02-20
