Hello!

A good friend (Thai National, 30Y, Male) of mine, working as a MuayThai (thaiboxing) trainer

here in Bangkok - got offered to come over to Norway to visit one of his students he has been training for

quite a few months on several occassions.

His student do run a non-profit organization to help kids/youngster slightly outside of the society

to prevent them getting involved with drugs/crime etc. A big part of his work is running MuayThai/

martial arts classes, and involving these kids in other kind of activities that strengthen their personal

properties and discipline/ self respect.

My friend is offered to run a few training sessions for this non-profit organization to tempt the youngsters

to show up for their trainings. However, that is not essential or the whole objective with the trip to Norway.

The main purpose of the trip is him coming to visit his friend for a period of 3 months, have a great time

together and see what life is like in Europe, as well as getting a picture of the boxing scene in northern

Europe.

What we got this far:

* Booked ticket

* Insurance

* Passport of Thai citizen

1. I really would like to get some good advice here on how to write the Invitation / Reference letter for

going on the basis "Visiting a friend". We need to make this look as legitimate as it is, as it is quite

troublesome obtaining any sort of visa for Thai Citizen with no/low income to SCHENGEN country

without substancial paperwork.

2. Is it ok to use more than one invitation / reference?

3. Apart from the potential advice from this great resource of a forum - I really would like to get good

advice for any sort of VISA Agents or Legal advisors that in any sort of way could help out sorting out

this application. If it is against forum rules in any sort of way, you can send it in a private message to

me.

Yours Gratefully,

William

1) Simply write the invitation letter explaining the relationship between sponsor and applicant and sponsor and the reason for the visit. The checklist says that the letter should preferably be written in Norwegian.

I am not sure if voluntary work, even as you described, is allowed; hopefully someone else will advise you on this.

2) I don't see why not.

3) Two of our sponsors, Thai Visa Express and Visa Plus, advise on Schengen applications. You can contact them via their websites by clicking on their adverts, or by using the PM facility here.

You may find this information from the Norwegian embassy helpful.
