Buying Ticket From Bangkok Airport.

Featured Replies

Dear All ,

Wish you a Good Day !.I need your Help.

I am Arriving Bankok on 16th September From Chittagong ,Bangladesh then I would like to Go in Hongkong from Bankok.

At the moment I only Bought Ctg-BKK-Ctg Flight Ticket.

Because my tiocket on Thai and for HK-BKK thai have flight next day

and I have to stay whole night at Airport.

So Is it possible that I buy ticket at Bankok airport for Bkk-Hongkong-BKK from other airlines?.Or Any travel agency can deliver me ticket there inside airport?

Because ,I have only single entery visa for Thailand and would like to enter Thailand after traving Hongkong.

Please advice .

Regards/Rasel

You'll have a problem trying to buy a ticket airside(at the airport). There are travel agents across the road from the airport, but they won't be able to go through passport control to deliver your ticket.

As far as I know a connecting flight within 12 hours counts as transit.

At the Airport Donmuang Railway Station

TEL : 0-2928-3856, 0-2566-2118, 0-2566-2123, 0-2566-2205, 0-2566-2517

You can arrive from an international flight and then buy a Thai Airlines ticket right in the airport....they have a ticketing counter there...I've done it.

Most of the agents I deal with (well, mostly Japanese agents in BKK) can send their messengers to deliver the ticket wherever within Bangkok in exchange of the payment. All communications done by email and phone, no need to show up at agent office. But like valentinoxxx wrote, nobody can deliver you anything beyond passport control/customs. Even if that is possible, how can you check yourself in for a flight to HK if you don't go through the passport control and customs to enter the country? If getting multiple entry visa or ticket to HK in Bangladesh is not an option for you, enter the kingdom with the visa you have, receive a ticket, fly to HK and get another visa at the Thai consulate there.

THAI does have a ticket office at Don Muang, but it is not in the transit part of the airport (i.e. before one clears customs & immigrations), is it?

It's a problem if one does not already possess a ticket to an onwards destination and has checked bags that would need to be reclaimed in Bangkok, but otherwise one could check in for that next flight upon arrival in Bangkok at one of the transfer desks in the transit area of the airport.

If getting multiple entry visa or ticket to HK in Bangladesh is not an option for you, enter the kingdom with the visa you have, receive a ticket, fly to HK and get another visa at the Thai consulate there.

This sounds like a situation that would be tailor-made for a transit visa.

It's probably way cheaper to buy a BKK-HKG return ticket in Bangkok than it would be to do so in Chittagong.

Dear All,

1st of all I apologized for my late responds of your valuable answers.

I would like to thanks valentinoxxx, chownah, Nordlys, ovenman, jrincon17

For their kind advice.

1) Regarding why not purchasing ticket in Chittagong?

This is because from chittagong/Bangladesh I cant purchase tickets from Dragon or Cathy only for Bangkok –Hongkong. I have to buy Ctg-Bkk-HK-Bkk-Ctg.

2) Now If I buy tickets from hear for Bkk-Hkk Thai offering $250 and I can buy from Bangkok in $180 by Emirates or Dragon.

3) Finally after reading all those above advices I had planned to Enter Bangkok 1st then from Bangkok we buy tickets for Hongkong.

I am very happy that you all had jumped on to my problem and wanted to help me out.

Thanks and Regards / RASEL

You should make sure that your Thai visas are all set before leaving Bangladesh (i.e. don't simply assume that you'll be able to obtain another visa for Thailand in Hong Kong).
