This beautiful butterfly elected to spend the night at home.

Quite large: the wingspan is 19 cm.

yeah look very much like a moth, but a nice one ..

this animals are commonly kinda big around here.

i did see one sleeping in the parking lot with almost same span size

also butterfly's can get kinda huge here like this one: http://goo.gl/oxCB6

It is a Thai BMF moth. Very common. :)

Actually, that looks like an Atlas Moth (worlds largest moth). How heavy was it?
