Hi all,

My wife has just passed the Life in the UK test and we're now starting to put the paper work together, her current visa expires in May.

I have an issue with my wage slips, being that my pay slips are delivered to my current address, however the address on my pay slip shows my previous address from 3 years ago.

This is because I worked for my employer sub-contract before from this address and I am now employed full time, it seems they didn't bother

to update their system and have just put my wage slips in an envelope with my current address on it. I do take some responsibility myself for not paying attention to this earlier.

So naturally my concern is will this be an issue for immigration when viewing our application, we don't need to show previous address's if we have been at the same address for 2 or more years, which we have.

Do you think a covering letter from my employer highlighting the mistake will help?

Also, does she qualify to apply for ILR now, she has been here for 24 months or does she only qualify 28 days before the May expiration date?

Thanks in advance

You, hopefully, have more proof of you both living at the same address than these payslips.

Simply write a covering note explaining the address situation as you have done here, or don't submit them at all. Bank statements alone are acceptable evidence of finances (see Section 10 of the application form).

Assuming she entered with a spouse visa, the earliest she can submit her application is 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of her first entry with that visa; the latest is the day the visa expires.

My question is, does the time spent on a Fiance Visa go towards the 2 year period to apply for ILR ?

or is it from the date FLR is granted??

If entering with a fiance visa then the two year qualifying period for ILR starts after the marriage has taken place and on the date FLR begins.
