Hi!

Last week I go to the KVC computer shop-my dvd drive make alot of noises-they wood handle it,they say,and we pick it up later that day.

Very cheap to,I think.

Then today I wood use it-put in a dvd-nothing happend and I wonder-looked it all through-and found, that they have removed my drive.

I send them a mail, and told them what I have found out-and asked them to find a solution-soon.

So now I must se what happend-if enything!

I diddent think they wood do, such a stupid thing-but ok.-now I know,for sure!

So guys-be carefull when you go to that shop-chek that you got, all what you think you have, before leaving that shop.

The wife recently had a similar experience. When she got her computer back, the dvd drive had been deleted with no way for her to re-install it. All of the Microsoft Office Suite was gone. LOTS of stuff was gone. We're still having fun trying to get everything back on it.

Maybe they thought....it's making a noise.....we'll take it out....it's stopped making a noise!.....we fixed it!

That cold be the Logic, especially if they didn't charge you. ;)

I suspect they've got a load of Kids sat in the back of the shop servicing the computers, easy to get distracted on 200 baht a day especially with pretty Girls in the Vaccinity .

Some of the fix's I've had have been temporary, they don't exactly do a full diagnostics, They will get it right eventually.

it gives an whole new meaning to the unknown concept here of 'thinking outside the Box' :(

As bifftastic says, they solved the problem.

You sometimes have to be very specific here as to HOW you would like the problem solved (and how you would not).

I imagine there are similar tales from people who took a pet that was limping to the vet.......
