From this news topic:

...Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, who is the Democrat Party's secretary general, ...affirmed Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is still a suitable person to lead the Democrat Party in the next general election.

He commented that now is an opportune time for House dissolution and a general election unless political chaos breaks out again.

Why is this Suthep shooting off his mouth all the time? Does the Prime Minister really need his public endorsement for the next election? Does the PM really not want to announce the schedule for the election himself and instead wants his deputy to tell the people when would be the right time for it? What is Suthep hoping to get out of all this?
