I wan to take some stay in Thailand while going back to my conutry from china as i have a transit flight. Is it worth staying for 2 two days as i dont have much time. I have a plan to go directly to Pattaya. What are the famous activites in patayya to make my time worthy and full of fun. Can i enjoy alone overthere? I will prefer backpacking. How can i best manage my trip? What are the cheaper and good shopping malls in Bangkok?

With only 2 days, you don't have much time. I think you will find more things to do in Bangkok than Pattaya...and if you are a true backpacker, you might want to stay on Khao San Road. It's a crazy place, but that's where you will find cheap accommodations, cheap food and plenty of other backpackers!

Buses leave from G floor to Pattaya if you want to go direct.

Pattaya is well known for it's cabaret shows like :-

But if you want to shop you should stay around the Pratunam area Bangkok.

Platinum Fashion Mall and around the area is wholesale markets a plenty. Just ask how many items to get wholesale price. (normally 3+)

There is also Grand Diamond Plaza and behind Indra Hotel are many alley markets for buying just about anything.

Good points! How about Soi Kasemson 1, right off the National Stadium sky train stop? Several backpacker type hotels there and LOTS of shopping nearby. Here's a great place, but make a reservation for sure...

Soi Yodsak at daytime, Walking Street at night time.

But you won't have fun on a backpacker budget.

What is G floor? How about leaving directly for Pattaya, 1 night stay there and some day time from bangkok on my way back?

G floor is Ground Floor, unless it's referring to a specific level in swampy?
