Importing A Car Into Thailand

Figure about 280% of the asset value of the car and Customs does the assessing. Don't do it.

I was thinking of doing the same thing in the past, i know people have done it but it gets very expensive due to the tax laws here.

It's been done to death. Just do a search and you will find loads of posts. The general consensus is it just isn't worth the money or the hassle.

The owner, Michael Macey, imported it without the usually expected fuss and exhorbitant cost.
