After a bit of advice on visa stamp sizes. Odd question i know :-)

Got an extended brit passport with only 3 blank pages left, and a bunch of half used ones by various immigration muppets in sub saharan africa.

On a tourist visa in thailand, every few months i go and get another one in KL, and im planning on flying back to the UK in mid may for a while.

1) is the thai visa on arrival still 30 days and is it just a small stamp or a whole page like at the embassies?

2) are the Laos visa's on arrival full page or just small stamps?

3) I guess getting a Burma visa in advance is a full page job?

4) anywhere around the region where i can get a 3 entry thai visa or do i have to carry on with these annoying full page 1 entry ones?

Cheers in advance people.  I am hoping to do a trip down through malaysia to singapore and back before I leave, and was hoping to do one into Laos and Cambodia and another one in Burma as well. But its looking like I dont have that freedom with 3 pages left........

Question 1 small stamp.

Question 3 Myanmar has VOA at this time do not know size.

Question 4 Lao and Cambodia have until March 31 free double entry tourist visas that would give you 6 months.

Cheers guys.

Last time i went to Laos it was a tiny little stamp in and out, but that was at some tiny little border post as i went up the Mekong in '05 or '06. I was thinking of taking the train up from bangers but if its full page then prob not.

I figure i can use the VOA stamps in Thailand for the rest of my trip, as they will give me 30 days if i fly in. Is it only 15 days at a land border crossing still?

Getting mixed reports about Myanmar VOA, some say its not on any more etc but others that its fine. I think Air Bagan are going to be offering flights in from Phuket which would save me a trip to BKK if i can get VOA in Myanmar.

Looked at getting a new passport here, issued via HK but pain in the A so wont bother.

Really? How long did it take to process and did you have to go to BKK ? It looked like a pain when i read up on it. But then I am somewhat lazy :-D

Visa on arrival at Rangoon airport has been suspended. Land border crossings will get you a VOA.

yet today they claim you can get it on arrival!

Air Bagan Phuket to Yangon

Guess if i book air bagan flights i can just ask them to confirm i can get it when i arrive.

Downloaded forms from consulate web site.

Filled in forms.

Photocopied photo page of passport.

Had photos taken as per size on web site.

Completed credit card payment form, they accepted my Bangkok Bank "debit card".

Ticked box to get it sent back by DHL.

Sent it from post office, using EMS 400 baht. Any post office will do.

12 days later passport was back.

Mine was full but not expired. I had 14 months left. When it came back it was good for 10 years and 9 months.

Cool - thanks for sharing that as i expected (based on previous experiences in africa) that it would be waaay harder.

Did you have to mail in your existing passport and did they return it?
